Baby Teresa was created by two Australian mums, Sammie Appleyard and Kirsty Dunphey, who wanted to give back with each product they sold.
All the delightful baby clothes in the Baby Teresa range are made from beautifully soft fair trade organic cotton, and come in lovely soft colours – each named after one of the babies that has been clothed by Baby Teresa.
Soft cream and beige stripes are named after Jimmy from Indonesia.
Pink polka dots are named after Ruby from Uganda.
Sky blue polka dots are named after Son from Vietnam.
For each gorgeous item of organic baby romper sold, Baby Teresa donates one to a child in need. For each of the organic baby hats and bibs sold, Baby Teresa donates baby formula to malnourished babies in orphanages in Vietnam.
Working with volunteers, Baby Teresa has donated baby clothing and formula to projects in places as diverse as:
- Vietnam – orphanage
- Tasmania – Salvation Army
- South Africa
- East Timor
- Ubud, Bali
- The Phillipines
There are many more places that Baby Teresa has donated items to underprivileged children. To see more, have a look at the Baby Teresa website.
